The project aims at contributing to informed policy-making and better service delivery in the education sector, leading in time to an increased number of children completing good quality primary and secondary education in Tanzania. The capacity of Tanzanian HLIs and R&D institutions to conduct climate change research is increased Collaboration between research teams and other actors (government and non-governmental institutions, private sector, training institu The institutional capacity of COSTECH to undertake large competitive research calls is enhanced Expected Outputs: A broad range of Tanzanian interdisciplinary research Programmes on climate change are funded and completed (w/specific target of female project leaders) The participation of PhD and master students in climate change research Programmes is increased (w/specific target of female students) The participation of a broad specter of Tanzanian HLIs and R&Ds in climate research is increased Collaboration between research teams and a broad specter of other actors ensured The programme is implemented in line with the principles in the COSTECH grant manual Thematic priorities of the calls: Climate-adapted food production. Project indicators include disaggregated data with specific targets for women (40% female project leaders and students funded).
