Institutional capacity building on Sustainable Soil Health to improve adaptation and mitigation to Climate change in agriculture sector in Tanzania Impact Institutional and human capacity on sustainable soil health management increased in case study districts, Tanzania Outcome 1 - Improved soil productivity (e.g., soil fertility, soil biodiversity, soil carbon storage) Outcome 2 - Increased stakeholders’ knowledge on soil health management and adoption Outcome 3 - Strengthened institutional collaborations on climate smart soil health improving measures. Outputs 1. Climate smart soil management technologies toolbox developed (including soil health indicator framework, digital soil mapping). This output will contribute to Outcome 1 2. Capacity building program and training modules on soil health developed. This output will contribute to Outcome 1 and 2. 3. Farmers, researchers, extension personnels and public sector agencies competence on soil health management improved. This output will contribute to Outcome 1, 2 and 3. 4. Policy frameworks for up-scaling sustainable soil health programs . This output will contribute to Outcome 3 Project partners (Tanzania) -TARI – Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute (main project partner and contract partner) -Ministry of Agriculture, (Department of land use planning) -Innovation platforms/groups -Soil health living lab actors/ stakeholders and VC actors (producers, input suppliers, processors, traders, consumer groups)
