Supporting Tanzania’s Agricultural Transformation Office (ATO) to unlock regulatory barriers to scale investment and the AGCOT model
This project aims to advance the implementation of the Agriculture Master Plan Flagship 7 by unlocking agriculture-specific regulatory barriers to business operations and scaling-up the AGCOT model across four corridors (Western, South, Central and Lake Zone). It will enhance commercial agriculture investment, with a particular focus on export. By facilitating private sector investment in agriculture value chains, the project drives increased production, productivity, agro-processing, and agribusiness growth. The overarching objective is inclusive economic growth, improved food security, reduced poverty by enhancing coordination and commercialization of smallholder agriculture.
