Political dialogue

Venezuela's accentuated and sustained political polarization adds to the multiple global and national crises. Women's movements in Venezuela remain active and continue developing initiatives on women’s rights and social cohesion. However the existing movements and organizations lack unity and full capacity to influence social and political high-level dialogues. The project seeks to adress and transform structural inequalities and gender violence through (1) greater incidence of women's rights advocates and peacebuilders in decision making for crisis recovery and (2) strengthened leadership in dialogue and peace building processes.

Education Action for Marginalized Children Project in Zambia. The project is aimed at providing vulnerable children with quality education in a safe and healthy environment.The primary target groups are vulnerable children in rural communities.

Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) is a law based human rights organization established in 1996 by human rights lawyers. ZLHR’s mission is to protect and defend human rights through sustainable litigation, education and advocacy which contributes positively to a culture of tolerance and adherence to democratic values and practices. ZLHR implements its programming at the national level with complimentary regional and international advocacy.

The programme addresses gaps in the justice delivery system by providing legal information and legal assistance to vulnerable and indigent groups who face challenges in accessing justice. Particular attention is given to protecting women and girls in farming and mining communities where Gender Based Violence (GBV) is rife. Community volunteers are trained in various areas of the law to enable them to play a multiplier role.

The expected results of the Project are as follows: Impact: Protection of human rights and the 2013 Constitution Outcome 1: Sustained access to legal support by human rights defenders. Output 1.1. Human Rights Defenders protection bolstered Output 1.2 HRDs continue with their work Outcome 2: Constitutional Rights enforced and Protected Output 2.1 Accountability for violations of the constitution Output 2.2. Lawyers litigation skills enhanced/Forums symposiums/strategic meetings needed. Outcome 3: Improved knowledge for targeted evidence-based responses by policy makers Output 3.1 Evidence-based informed action/responses to human rights issues. Norge er den største bidragsyteren til Verdensbankens gjenoppbyggingsfond for Ukraina (URTF), med over 9 milliarder kroner per april 2025 – mer enn en tredjedel av hele fondet. Bidraget er del av det flerårige Nansen-programmet, og bare i 2025 er Norges samlede Ukraina-støtte anslått til rundt 85 milliarder. Samtidig slår PSTs trusselvurdering fast at nettopp den norske Ukraina-støtten gjør Norge til et sannsynlig mål for russisk sabotasje og dataangrep – slik dam-sabotasjen i Bremanger i april 2025 illustrerte.

Norge brukte 110 millioner kroner på Verdensbank-fondet REACH for utdanning, uten at det var mulig å si hva resultatene var. Riksrevisjonen fant det kritikkverdig at Utenriksdepartementet inngikk avtalen uten å følge Norads råd om et solid resultatrammeverk.

I 2020 gikk over fem milliarder kroner fra Norge til Verdensbanken, rundt fire milliarder gjennom flergiverfond. Riksrevisjonen fant at Utenriksdepartementet og Norad i liten grad hadde vurdert eller regnet på hva det koster å bruke fond som bistandskanal, og manglet en overordnet strategi.
