Post-tsunami aquaculture support

This is a third phase of post-tsunami cooperation with the Department of Fisheries in Thailand. This agreement covers cooperation within aquaculture only. The aim of this project is: Modern technology and governance adaption to ensure a sustainable utilisation of Thai sea waters for marine aquaculture. Key objectives are: - Strengthening of Government competence and governance regarding marine aquaculture in Thailand - Spread of new technologies in hatchery production, cage farming and value chain development - Further elaboration of general regulations for aquaculture including fish health procedures and environmental impact assessment - Social inclusion in future development of aquaculture
